Did anyone else hear about this? Was he on a team participating at UCA? I was kind of shocked that the pool did not have lifeguards on such a busy weekend!

so Sad! But unfortunately, I do not think any hotels have lifeguards.....they always post those signs

We stayed at all star, but there were lifeguards most of the day in every pool. I believe it was at 10pm or so they left and the pool remained open, but it was posted everywhere that there was no lifeguard after that time and you swam at your own risk.

I agree. We stayed at Arts of Animation and they had lifeguards until 10 or 11 each night. There was even signs posted that were would be no lifeguards between certain hours. I feel for that family. What a horrible thing to happen to them.

Wow so sad we stayed at all star movies resort and the life guards were there on duty till 11 pm.
