Hello! I am a high school flyer and the last few practices I have found myself unable to correctly full down. This concerns me because last season I had the best full downs on the team.. My coaches want us to catch ourselves in our cradles and I think this may be what messes me up, as I tend to cross my arms above my head instead of bringing them down to clean now. I am also told I am not letting myself fall, and look more like a tornado than a full down. Is this all me? Am I psyching myself out? or could my bases not be throwing correctly?

It’s a matter of stalling your self in the air! When I learned how to do full down arabesques, my coach had us go to a T-position while being thrown and then drop our arms.

It doesn’t take that much to spin it’s just the challenge of body control in the air and learning to stall out your dismount
