My daughter did gym A for the entire season no summit bids and had no outstanding balance. (we always finish what we start). It wasnt her best season ever, (but like i said we finish what we start) so she wanted to go to a new gym and we did after the season ended and love it. We have been there for a month now and The new gym B has offered her a spot to fill in for an flyer that cannot make the trip. However, Gym A does not want to sign the release form for her. No reason why... she finished the season all the way through every competition and did not miss a single practice. Is there anyway to appeal so she can still go to summit on a level 5? What are our options?

I know for worlds there is no way to appeal. They can say no without any reason at all. I had a friend that was part of a level 4 at a small gym. The entire small gym season was completely over. She was asked to help out a world's team at a large gym. The owner refused to sign a release. USASF said that was their right and they would not get involved.

its sad shes only a 10 year old girl and it would be her first summit. So sad to have to tell a 10 year old she cant go for no reason at all.

My big girl 10 year old walked in and asked the owner herself to release her and thanked her. My advice is this... this probably the best way to handle the situation because you never know the child may want to cheer at the gym again in the future. Anything can happen as we have seen with covid gyms closing. Also, we didnt leave mid season, never late to competitions, and paid her tuition on time. If someone were to have balances due or its mid season i wouldn't expect to get it signed. Its best to leave on a good note with any gym if you can. :)
