Release Or Not?

I'm not sure how it could be considered a release when at no time is she free-flying.

The USASF Glossary defines a release move as the following:

Free Release Move:
A release move in which the top person becomes free of contact with all bases, bracers, or the performing surface.

If there is a connection at all times, it is not a release move.
