Good question. LOL. Adidas has a contract with the Olympics as the Sponsored Provider for gymnastics apparel. However, with that being said, GK does the manufacturing and have the rights to the manufacturing because Adidas knows that GK is the best :-)

I like to think of it this way.. Adidas is the sponsor.. sponsors usually donate/pay for things for athletes. So Adidas probably "paid" for their leos and bought them from GK. Since they were bought fom GK - they have the right to put the logo on the leo. I asked myself the same question and this is what I came up with and I thought I would share lol

Rudags, will this 'partnership' of sorts continue after the olympics?

I can't answer that with any sort of factual knowledge. I am more on the cheer side of sales, so Ive only dabbled in the gymnastics side. I have heard that Adidas and GK may be doing more work together, but that was word on the street, not from anyone from GK or even the Cheer World.

Rudags I thought GK didnt do sublimated designs but the leos Aly and Jordyn wore for beam and floor finals definitely looked sublimated. Any knowledge with this?

Forgot about that! So since 2000, but since 92 they were GK leos with another logo on them.
