How did these stay on the athlete? How did they connect to the shoes?

Did we have a thread discussing the legality of this a while back or did I make that up entirely? Some people thought it wasn't since it went underneath the shoe and split the sole or something like that.

Read the title early this morning, and thought, oh no, first a Maddie bashing discussion and now a tread all about top gun's bums. Need coffee!!

I don't directly remember it happening. But it is TG- so a uniform discussion/legality discussion would be typical lol.

We had a youth team try to wear boot covers two years ago. They gave up after two competitions. Now, TG may have had some special ones that stayed up better, better quality, etc. They kind of cinched around the calf and elastic under the foot. I think they were coming apart.

Gk refers to them as spats...they basically have elastic in the cuff and fit over the shoe similar to how the bottom bed sheet with elastic in it slips over a mattress plus two elastic straps to hold them.
