If you were interviewing a person for a cheerleading coach/assistant position, what would be some of the first questions you had to ask?

Cheer history
Why they started cheering
Why they started coaching
accomplishments as a cheerleader/coach
choreo skills
spotting skills
stunt expirience
level expirience
knowledge of stunts, tumbling, etc.
Where they have worked before
when they are available.
idk what else

for a person applying for a HS coaching job, id def say how do you handle conflict on the team. that seems to be a major issue ive had to deal with. Thanks Stiggy for your input!!

For a high school coach, if you have experiencing coaching competition teams and sideline teams because you'll need someone who knows about whats legal, how to pump of the crowd and whatnot for football and basket ball games.

If you are hiring a jv coaching position, I would ask them if they are willing to adjust their coaching style to match yours. It's important that the girls have similar experiences on jv as they will have on varsity someday. Not everyone is willing to adjust. I hired 2 very young girls who had never coached before this year. They were very willing to learn and it's working out great!
