We have an upcoming competition that is offering
  • 3 paid bids
  • 6 at-large bids¬†
All of the teams attending with the exception of 4 have AL or PD bids. Does this mean that 4 teams will receive at minimum an AL bid regardless of their level? 2 of the teams are in the same division. In addition, the comp requires Cheerleading Programs must bring 3 teams to the Worlds Bid event to be eligible for Worlds Bids. Does that mean if a team is coming without any other teams from their gym they are not eligible for a bid?
Thanks!

Everyone will get a bid yes and if the rules are followed through then each gym must bring the required teams……

With comps requiring a minimum amount of teams from the gym to attend, there are usually exception clauses (distance from competition for example). Depending on the number of teams attending the competition, they may waive the requirement. I've seen comps waive it if they had a smaller number attending than they were planning on. Things happen.
