I saw a tweet from Justin that said by Feb 12th.Anyone hear when the schedule will be out. The block is crazy with a 5 hour window...lol. Maybe they could narrow it down a bit.

How about the splits for D1 and D2? No wonder why I've been feeling as if there is so much less competition this season, they are going to D2...Observations from the team list:
1. Whoa at the growth in XS All Girl v. how small Small AG has gotten.
2. Same in looking at Open Coed 5 and All Girl Open 5 v. their IOC5/IO5 counterparts.
I knew that a lot of shifting had happened with the new divisions, but it is a lot more striking when you look at lists for a big comp like NCA.
Additionally, when they announced those new Prep divisions (3.1, 2.1 Prep, etc.) I did not think many gyms would field them right away.
I stand corrected. I don't know if it's because NCA is huge or if prep is huge at other comps - but one of those prep divisions easily has 10 teams.
It's not necessarily a bad thing as I think the goal was new and different entry points to cheer that are not a full-year elite travel experience.
But questions:
1. Do the prep teams have to be composed of completely separate kids from your those in your regular AS program? Are there Prep crossover rules? Ex: Can Shady Athletics take a bunch of kids from Junior 3 and make a Junior 1.1 Prep for winsies?
2. I know Prep is supposed to have limitations in theory (i.e. not even starting til Oct, limited travel, less expensive uniforms) but in real life does it? I've seen some gyms offering a true prep type experience (like 3 comps, all driving distance, etc.) but wondering if the more competitive Prep teams are like that?

In my experience no they won’t combine. The only division I saw with one was Youth 5 and there isn’t really anyone to combine them with. And I saw the large jr5R has 2 teams but in theory that’s all ready combined (coed and all girl-there just happens to be no all girl large competing). There really isn’t any other way to combine that division. I’m not a fan of combining large and small unless you have to- meaning there is only one team. I’m ok with combining coed/all girl in jr restricted since there isn’t coed stunting required. Is there a chance divisions will be combined? There are some with only 1 or 2 teams.
