In some posts I see people put "@soandso". By doing that does the person they referenced get notified someone is messaging them. (Hi-tec) Or do they just see it when they read the thread? (Low-tec)

@Sp1derP1g1230 it's called tagging. Put and @ with their screename (don't put a comma or period behind it). In those post you'll get a notification flag because I tagged you and another because I quoted you.
