Yup. In fact, the very reason why gymnast can qualify via AA at Worlds was because of what happened to Iordache last quad.Wikipedia says 20 so it must be true (joking of course). Another question...since spots are non nomative is it possible Golgota earns aa spot but Romania (because....Romania) decide to take Iordache instead? So Romania could potentially earn two spots at worlds with Golgota declining her aa spot (which would go to the next Romanian in aa) and her earning spot through ef (if she qualify to any ef ofcourse) which could go directly to her.
She medalled in the AA finals in 2015, but it didn’t earn her a berth to the Olympics. It was because back then it wasn’t usual for an AA medalist to come from a country that didn’t already qualify a full team to the Olympics.
Romania has some hope of qualifying a full team though, especially since teams can qualify via continental cups (Euros for Romania).
