n by a suspected drunk driver north of Atlanta, Georgia early Thursday morning.

Bullitt County Public Schools Superintendent Keith Davis said no one aboard the bus was injured. Students told their parents the driver of the other vehicle was walking around after the crash. They said she had been driving the wrong way on Interstate 75. Davis said the crash happened around exit 259 which is near the I-75/I-285 interchange.

A parent of one of the cheerleaders said buses carrying cheerleaders from Bullitt East, LaRue County and Ballard High Schools were just ahead of the Bullitt Central bus. She said those buses turned around and picked up the Bullitt Central cheerleaders and continued on to Florida.

“All parents have been contacted,” said Davis on Facebook. “Feeling very fortunate as it could have been much worse.”

John Miller of Miller Transportation, the operator of the buses transporting the cheerleading squads, said he was notified about the crash around 2:15 a.m. and immediately contacted the other buses and had head back to the accident scene.
