Congratulations to all the hard work your athletes, coaches, and parents put into their routines. GREAT work!
With just 35 kids representing 3 teams though I sure hope they all competed in skill appropriate divisions. It wouldn't be quite as exciting if a team won a level 3 division with half of the team having level 5 skills.
So are ACE Warriors. I am already exhausted! LOLWow, Stars are attending Cheersport, UCA and NCA.. That is a lot of traveling and money.

But Cheersport is in their backyard. So they most likely don't have the travel costs the others have.So are Stingrays!
Very true. But Cheersport is in their backyard. So they most likely don't have the travel costs the others have.
Also Georgia to Florida isn't New Jersey to Florida...Rays could bus it for cheaper if they wanted..But Cheersport is in their backyard. So they most likely don't have the travel costs the others have.
The Summit is basically worlds for all non worlds teams. It is a very prestigious event for lower levels. It is new this year, and it's being hosted by Varsity. Only the top 5 teams in each division make it to Day 2. The winners get rings. All teams must receive a bid to be able to compete there. Paid bids cover hotels, transportation, and your hoppers. An At large bid doesn't pay for anything but it gives you the opportunity to compete their if your program will let you go and pay for it.okay so my team got a bid to the summit and i just have so many questions i don't want to wait until practice tonight for them to be answered 1. what exactly is "the summit" i know it's only levels 1-4 and at the wide world of sports but nothing else and 2.what does "at large bid" mean because that's what we got.

Just to clarify a few things. We did not handpick 35 kids to compete. We have 35 kids total kids in our gym who have competed this season. We have a mid season youth 1 team who will competing for the first time in a couple weeks. The teams we have are Sm jr 2,sm jr 3 and sm sr coed 4. We have 8 srs who cannot crossover. We also have 8 kids who only do level 2. The rest makeup our jr 3 team. Some of the kids cross down and some cross up. We have 6 kids who compete on all 3 teams. Of those 6, 2 have a layout,3 have tucks and 3 don't tumble at all. If you consider this sandbagging , I really can't change that. We try to provide teams that are appropriate for all of our athletes. As a small gym trying to survive , we cant do that without crossovers. We would love to have full teams with no crossovers , and someday we will . But I wouldn't trade the group of kids we have now for anything.Congratulations to all the hard work your athletes, coaches, and parents put into their routines. GREAT work!

Congratulations on a great competition! Being a small gym is tough. Sounds like you guys are doing a great job and no, that's not sandbagging :)Just to clarify a few things.
