Collegiate Cheer

Hi, I've been wondering a lot about college cheer recently. I'm hopefully going to be enrolling at a university in socal soon, and cheer has been the #1 thing on my mind. My big questions are:
1. Will there be time for practice, a job, and school!?
2. What competitions do college cheer teams go to?
3. Is it really worth it?

I'm bummed out about not being able to try out for all star because I'll be almost 19 by the time next season starts... so college cheer or retire is really the question at hand here....

I'm thinking about Biola University in La Mirada. It's a private Christian college.

1). It depends on if your school is just a game day school or game day and competition. My school is only game day and it's do-able with just cheer and school but sometimes it can get hectic. People on the team have jobs too and they make it work. I think if you were on a team that competitions and game day it could be do able but it would be stressful.
2). Depends on the school.
3). Yes! Cheering college has been such a great experience for me so far and a good way to meet people.

Cheer Squad, Biola University

Looks like they compete at USA. They're under the direction of the marketing department (similar to the program I was in) which means that on top of games and practices you will be responsible for appearances on and off campus. I'd recommend emailing ([email protected]) for more info.
