All-Star Cost For Allstar Cheer

Okay so I'm thinking about joining a level 1 all star cheer team because of this being my first year to do cheer. What are the things you have to pay for and cost?

I'm with yooolizzi--it can really vary, especially for guys. I'd guess monthly tuition, your uniform, cheer shoes and practice wear (tank, tees), comp fees due so you can participate at competitions, a music fee, maybe an annual fee to be a gym member, many gyms have tryout fees, insurance fees, plus any camp costs if your team does skills camps over the summer. Some gyms include tumbling classes & open gyms in their monthly tuition, some don't. Each gym handles costs differently so ask, ask, ask!!! Athletes cover their own travel/lodging costs for comps that are "away."

Some gyms give scholarships / partial scholarships to male athletes. Definitely go talk to some of the gyms in your area and check them out.

Virtually 100% of the time, yes. The thing is, not everyone makes the team that they want.

Every gym that I've known places everyone. It may not be the team they want, but they're placed somewhere. Specific team tryouts, like L5, Summit teams, excluded.
