Which is better for a flyer the Nfinity Defiance or Vengeance? I already have a pair of the vengeances and I love them but are the defiances better for a flyer?

The Vengeances are lighter. The Defiances are technically made to improve your tumbling. They have a built in spring floor inside them. So they really improve your tumbling esp. if you're on dead mat. It depends on what you prefer, but strictly flying-wise i think the vengeances are the way to go.

I prefer the defiance for flying, because I feel my bases can grip my foot better than the vengeances because the don't have the mesh which can be hard for your bases to grip especially if their hands are sweaty. Defiance are also easier to pull body positions in.

My daughter is a flyer, and she loves the Defiance. She says she likes them better for both tumbling and stunting. @beth379 has the same opinion about being able to grab them better for pulling positions that my daughter does. Defiance are lighter than the Evolutions, but slightly heavier than the Vengeance, but it isn't by a ton, so you likely won't feel the weight difference a whole lot. The other thing we're finding to be true with the Defiance is that they're a lot more durable than the Vengeance, so the investment may last you longer. Good luck!

i love basing flyers with defiances. they take a bit of getting used to, however, since they are bulkier than the other styles. they are lighter than the evolutions, but they do feel very different

I am torn by this question because it is so specifically asking which is better for a flyer? I would love to be able answer this question adequately, however, my daughter is not a flyer and never been a flyer, so I really do not know. But for cheerleading, I asked my daughter her thoughts on the 2 sneakers, she presently is wearing Defiance, but also wears the Vengeance, and she had 2 answers...
1st answer - She preferred Defiance personally for the comfort and she mentioned that it has extra cushioning/padding in the right places, like around the ankles and the top part of the foot and she really feel like these sneakers help with tumbling, particularly doing multiple bhs and gives her help extra lift when performing tucks and layouts...

2nd answer - She preferred Vengeance for her flyers, being a backspot, she mentioned that Vengeance and Evolution helps the bases and backspots with gripping the flyers...She mentioned about the extra grips that Vengeance have on the sides of the sneakers and the sneakers fit the foot like a glove, so she think this should be good for the flyers...(she said, only guessing though)
