Let me be more specific
Let’s say a top 5 powerhouse team from Nj/Ny has decided to forgo the huge Northeast regional just Bc and decided to go to the blue grass...
thoughts ??
Does this make sense as a coach ? Would you do this and ... why?
Northeast has NY, Nj and PA regionals...
and how does this come across to those powerhouse southern teams who are always on top as well?

I couldn’t sell it because of cost, but I can give you one good reason to do it...,
Match up against top teams in your division and see how you stack up. This is especially true if you’re trying to choose a nationals division.
For example, we have very few schools in the STATE of KY that qualify as DI in large and super large because of where UCA draws the line. Our school falls in between DI medium and DII large in terms of student population. So IF money wasn’t a barrier, and IF we had a history of being super close but not quite champions, and IF I was trying to choose divisions, and IF we had time to prepare both routines between comps, and IF we didn’t have to declare a division in KY on October 1, some 6 weeks before our in-state regional....I’d do it. Like Sheriff Andy Taylor would have said though, that’s “a lotta iffin.”
