What are the types of mats most people use for an allstar gym or competition?

Its plywood on the ground, the springs, another layer of plywood, and then the mats on top.

Most likely. I'm sure if you ask a gym owner they would be able to tell you. Or companies that sell the mats might be able to but unless you were planning on purchasing a spring floor I wouldn't bother them.

I have seen both pine plywood and maple or birch used.
