I was hoping to get some help on front punch methods. My CP has learned one way at cheer tumbling-arms up and then chop down method. This is the standard way I see taught on youtube, even by gymnastic coaches. Now she is tumbling at a gymnastics center and they want her to throw her hands back and circle forward in the hurdle and then bring them down. (This is not the Russian method either, it's just another way to do a front punch I guess?) I noted that the gymnastics coach calls it a front tuck. My daughter can do the arms up method so now this is confusing but the gymnastics coach says this way is better and will get a better lift. I really would appreciate some insight as this is all very confusing to me and my CP! Should CP stick to one method -which she already knows-or switch? Which is better for cheer purposes?
