In response to a question posted under a subject in "Allstar Cheerleading" regarding eating at Worlds on a budget, it IS possible to spend less money on food if you plan ahead and if you are not opposed to eating in your room. Last year was our third year and we were more than familiar with (and tired of) the food at the Allstar Resort. I budgeted $300 for my daughter and myself and this time I came home with money! We flew from California and took 1 large suitcase and 1 carry-on. In the large suitcase I packed lots of cereal, healthy snacks like granola bars, wheat thins, apples, oranges, pretzels. Bagels also. So all we had to do for breakfast was go to the cafeteria for milk and butter. Voila, breakfast! With the snacks we had we got away with buying less for lunch too because we had the snacks and just added something small to it. Then we ate, without any guilt or stress, a real good dinner. My daughter's a pasta eater when she's competing and they have good pasta there.

We have saved a lot of money last year and this year by doing this when she traveled anywhere out of town.

Hope that helps!

We have figured it out too!!!
We are also packing a bag with snacks to "check"
We also put a ziplock full of snacks in or backpack for the parks!! And we bring water bottles and the little drink packets!
LOTS OF MONEY SAVED!!!

also, if you can't bring snacks in your suit case for whatever reason I am almost sure that there is a walmart in Orlando and you could get a bunch of food there...

can't imagine how expensive a taxi there would be.

Alot of people on the Dis Board (disney board) get groceries delivered. Try gardengrocer.com
You can also try wegoshop
There is a Publix grocery store nearby. Its best to stop on your way in from the airport. You can carry a collapsable cooler in your carry on.
