All-Star Favorite Themed Practices?

what are some of your team's favorite or most memorable themed practices?

I can't say what my favorite are because my CPs old gym didn't do it but here is the ones our gym is doing the month of June till we get our practice wear

(sorry about the dates I just copy and pasted)
However I do know from some Facebook pics in previous years they let you dress up in old all star uniforms and my cp was really looking forward to that to wear her old uniform but unfortunately it didn't make the list this year!:(


June 4th & 5th---Super Hero Day—Dress like your favorite super hero
June 6th & 7th—80’s Day—Dress like they did in the 80”s
June 11th & 12th—Nerd Day—Dress like a nerd
June 13th & 14th—Neon Bright Day—Wear your brightest neon colors head to toe
June 18th & 19th—Twin Day—Grab another Viper and dress alike
June 20th & 21st—Team Spirit Day—Dress like your favorite professional sports team
June 25th & 26th—PJ Day—Wear (appropriate) pajamas
June 27th-28th—Mis Match Day—Make sure nothing you have on matches!

I changed my mind, I hate theme practice days!!!

I have a problem, I'm a competitive person. I cannot just let Jaylen half way dress up.. I must go all out. I'm not saying she is always the best dressed but she definitely gets into the part.


So my problem with this is I have spent a crap load of money on these clothes and we are only 3 days in....also she can't even win because she won the first day so each practice they ask who hasn't won yet and they only judge them! I can't stop and we are only 3 days in:( this sucks

Wonder woman cost me around 120$ or something I forgot.

Like 37$ dollars for 80s day

Nerd day $42

I know it doesn't look expensive but the shirt was $15, then the socks, the bow tie, and suspenders got it to $42


Ugh I'm so over practice days, why am I so competitive?????

Am I the only one who goes all out? I don't want my daughter to show up and not feel as good as any one else!!!

A lot of themes can be conveyed with certain hairstyles and makeup, which is significantly cheaper than buying new clothes for every single theme. Another way to cut costs while still making outfits would be to either craft/dye/sew things yourself, borrow items from cousins,siblings,etc., or use older pieces you already own to recycle into something new! Maybe make it a summer activity for your daughter to help create her outfit.....if she makes part of it (such as a tie dye t-shirt,etc.) , she'll be extra proud of herself when wearing it.

Examples to possibly cut costs for the remaining days:
Neon Bright Day: anything neon that you already own OR old white shirt that you could dye a bright color with shorts you already own, neon eyeshadow, neon ribbon or bow if you have one(if not then any bow that could match), dye the white socks from nerd day neon
Twin Day: do the same hairstyle, same makeup, gym shirt & shorts you both have
Team Spirit Day: sports team jersey if you have one with shorts you already own, matching color bow, use eyeliner to do the black sports stripes on her cheeks
PJ Day—exactly what it says....wear spandex with her pj pants over, and a matching shirt you already own
Mis Match Day—wear everything all mixed up from past days + whatever else random stuff you own

Now that you have a base of items for themes in the future, don't buy any more! Get creative and use what you have around the house so that you can save your money for competition season.....lord knows its expensive!;)
