All-Star Gym Switching?

Is it true that an athlete has competed on one team all year long from one gym, but that team is not in a worlds division, so now this person is competing with a different team/gym at worlds and has never competed with them before?

I am confused as to what you are asking. Are you asking about being released for worlds or are you specifically asking about a certain person/gym/team?
