So recently in my last I was asking about the different gyms in DE and I've decided that I might try out a half year team for East Coast Nitros for the first time because it's not far away and I've heard many great things about them. My question today is, what exactly do you "do" on a half year team? Is it the same as a regular season but just cut in half? Is it less expensive and is it still a big commitment? I'm willing to work and be committed to all star cheerleading so if anyone could answer my questions and give me like a long overview of the half season and stuff I would appreciate it. Thank you! :D

And also, has anyone been on a half/full year team at East Coast Nitros before?

Half year teams can range in commitment and cost. I'd recommend calling the gym and asking those questions. Usually gyms are willing to let you come in and check them out.

Every gym does half year teams different. But generally, it's a shortened season. Some gyms only have their half year teams do locals, others will take them to some nationals/travel. It really depends. They are usually lower level teams. Most start practice around Nov/Dec, and will compete a few times. Generally less expensive, especially since you are only paying a few months worth of tuition and don't have the full competition schedule of the regular teams.

Yup, just like a full team but in half the time. Time commitments are just a important. Monthly costs can be the same as a full year team but you are only paying for the months you are there. Good luck
