Have you ever been to a competition where the announcer announces that a team who just performed got a worlds bid already? This was a normal competition with no bids to offer..do you think it gave that team an unfair advantage? what about the teams performing after them...they had to hear it right as they were about to perform? I was blown away when i heard the announcer doing this before all teams performed and when the judges were still scoring!!!

I dont think so. Weve been announced locally as having a bid to worlds - its no big deal. It just pumps up our kids. Now if they did it for one team, but another team had a bid, and they didnt. That would be awkward.

I've heard that before and it doesn't bother me because like Rudags said it just pumps people up

and if the truth is known...the judges already know who has bids....I think the announcer is just trying to make it interesting and exciting for the viewers....:)
