Lately I have been working on fulls and have consistently only been landing 3/4 of the way around. My tumbling is very high with straight legs. My coaches tell me I need to get my hips around but I do not understand the correction and am not getting any better. Anyone with the same problem or have any tips?

Hi! I would love to help! This may be tough to understand over text but I will do my best to explain. One drill I have my girls do, is to lie down on the floor on your back. You want to try to initiate your turn with your toes, so to try this, you will start turning towards the direction you spin. For example, If you turn left you will start bringing the right side of your body over until you roll over onto your stomach. A lot of the times, you will lead with your shoulders, which will leave the hips and toes behind. You can do this simple drill a few times to understand how to initiate your turn with your toes/hips. If you have a video of your full, I would love to see if there are any tips to give you. I train cheerleaders online with skill reviews and strength training programs, so if you're ever interested let me know!
