The Dior price tag is such a killer! If you buy the Bare Minerals foundation at ulta (and probably sephora but I'm not as familiar with their return policy) you can return it if it doesn't agree with your skin, which is nice since even though it's not Dior expensive, it's definitely not Maybelline affordable. I asked her about the clogging and she said it helps to make sure to wipe it off after each use and if it does clog, just straighten out a paperclip and stick it in to unclog it. Also, she bought the brush that goes with it the first time she tried it and said it's definitely not necessary. She just uses the Real Techniques expert face brush with it!Hmm.. I have combo skin for the most part and as we approach winter it will switch to very dry so that's a plus. I'm in NJ so I think the humidity is passed us for now lol. I'm afraid of change. I LOVE the Dior foundation I currently use. There is about a two week supply left in the bottle. So do I buy another one at $62 (ouch:confused:) or try something cheaper and maybe not look great for a few weeks? My skin has just been breaking out like crazy, so while the airbrushed look is beautiful, my skin is clearly not happy. I use natural, non-chemical products for everything that touches me except my foundation. So, there's the problem. Tarte never looked right on me and bare minerals powder didn't cover a thing.
I keep reading reviews that the bareSkin bottle clogs constantly. Has your sister had this problem before? That would annoy me.
If the Bare Minerals doesn't work out and you like more natural makeup or makeup that won't break you out, Clinique just came out with Superbalanced Silk and it's a really nice demi-matte finish. I tried some on at work and it's not drying at all but it is slightly heavier feeling than the Bare Minerals.
