Sorry for making so many threads. But I had a really rough practice last night. I was stunting with my group, and my coach had already told us she was going to be changing flyers out if they didn't hit. I understand this, it's pretty logical. My coach taught us the first half of our stunt sequence and my stunt group was just adjusting to it. It was a combination of me, the flyer) and the bases not having right grips so it was kinda mess- but that's expected when you learn a stunt. However, after a couple tries my coach pulled me out and put in one of the new girls on our team that just came a couple practices ago. She's mostly based, so she was having kind of a hard time hitting libs and extensions. I understand replacing me with someone with a higher skill set and can hit really strong and aggressively but replacing someone who isn't super strong with another weaker flyer doesn't really make sense? I was fronting them, but I also got taken out of pyramid and swapped for the new girl. I'm kind of upset. What can I do to show to my coach that I want my flying spot back really bad? I'm willing to work as hard as I can and do whatever to prove myself again.

ETA: My coach said that the pyramid spots are final btw

It's refreshing to see that you are so understanding of the situation, and it's not wrong to be disappointed. I would calmly approach your coach and ask for suggestions on areas that you can improve. I wouldn't even mention the other flyer. Just let your coach know that you are willing to work very hard to be the best flyer you can be. Also, perhaps arrange to come practice the new stunt sequence with your group before practice, at an open gym, etc. so you can get some extra practice in. When I cheered, my group found that we improved the most by practicing on our own as opposed to at team practice.

Maybe you will fly in group stunts and she will fly in pyramid or vice versa so you both have an opportunity during the routine. The most important thing is to stay open minded and understanding with every decision that your coach makes. I'm sure they would be happy to discuss any questions you might have!
