I have no other way to get rid of this anger inside of me but for anyone wnating to create a cheer tumblr. Please dont. Save yourself the trouble. It is nothing but a bunch of girls attacking teams purely on what they do outside of cheer, how they dress our side of cheer, there tweets, what they promote, how they look in action shots, if they fell in a stunt or not. I wish, i wish, I WISH, i could put one specific cheer blog on blast right now for how rude they are towards cheer famous cheerleaders. But i wont. Sorry for this random post King but a few kind words from others would really help right now because i pretty much was forced to delete my tumblr from how much hate i received for standing up for these cheerleaders.

Thank you
Have a good day and congratulate me on not killing anyone today.

There's no reason to feel bad about having done the right thing, if anything those girls are ruining their own online reputations.

Those who won't achieve, sit and talk badly about those that do.

ugh i completely agree!! its a horrible and toxic environment. it really makes me very sad to see cheerleaders being so cruel to each other.

I made a cheer tumblr back in the 9th grade (2009) and of course cheer in social media was nothing like it is now (clearly). As the years went on people would be rebloging my pictures and adding notes such as describe by the OP. Other cheer tumblrs came into existence and it all became a big war. There would be blogs favoring one team and god forbid I post something about a "rival" team, I had a mob of cheerleaders attack me defending the other tumblr blog. Madness, right?

I eventually deactivated my blog entering my senior year, right after I stopped using my personal blog (for other reasons though).

The more and more I read about social media and what it's turning our youth into the more and more I want to shelter my CP from it---for a quick second I think, "But it would be a great teaching tool". And then I think of 20 other easier to handle teaching tools for the same problem and go back to sanity.

I can't imagine social media back in my day and I'm really not that old. It's frightening to consider what our society is going to look like ten and twenty years from now.

And congrats on not killing anyone today! I'm not sure who I'd go after first---though in Missouri who thought a riot act straight out of the civil rights movement was a great idea in today's American or the fact that one of my favorite actor's decided to hang himself. Today is just a really sucky day!

I have actually tried to personally talk to the "evil" cheer blogs myself and ask them why they are so rude about other cheerleaders. I understand not liking a team, but attacking them based off their appearance is just down right mean.

My talk with them went no where, it was supposed to be one on one and all her other blog "friends" chimed in and told me that they had a right to an opinion and blah blah. The crazy thing is this evil blog is actually extremely popular and I feel as if her actions are making other blogs think it's ok to say those things when it's not but GOD FORBID you say anything to her or them and it's world war 3.

I guarantee that the kids behind them having little to no skill.... the emptiest vessels are often the loudest.

I used to follow some really bad blogs but I decided not to continue to follow them. I do have a couple of cheer blogs I like and aren't rude. If anything they feature a special team every week! But I can feel the issue for Instagram! It's awful and they think that just because they have a lot of followers they are better than anyone else!

I have a cheer tumblr. It really depends on who you follow. Not everybody is bad. But you are correct, a lot of them are.

I really, really REALLY wish sometimes the coaches of those athletes would bust them for saying those things, but dang they're good about hiding their identity!!
I have a cheer twitter (i made it in like 2011 or something lol). And last year my coaches knew about it (they knew from the beginning, even when i DIDNT cheer there??) so i always watched what i said. I mean, i always watch what i say, but this time i really, really watched what i said. No shaming of teams, or anything like that.

ETA: I honestly wish I could figure out who runs those rude cheer tumblrs sometimes...

I'm going to quote a friend who recently posted this on facebook:
"What Susie says about Sally says a lot more about Susie than Sally."
The haters are really just hating themselves. It's kinda sad, really. I'm glad you didn't kill anybody. ;)
