Ok, so I was planning on taking this season off to dance full time. And I told my gym that I would fill in for a comp or 2 if they needed me. Well today I got a call from my coach, asking to come to the gym and work out with the team. And now their asking me to join full time. But I already committed to dance. What should I do? I need help! ...

Just think is it something you REALLY want to do, how much do you really love cheer. You may love both of them, but thinking whats best for you will come down to which one you love more than the other.

Never tell someone that you will help out if they need you; unless you realize they see it as a commitment to them.

First of all - consider it a HUGE complement. A coach that typically really does just need a 'sub' and then asks you to stay full time means there is no one to replace you because you are THAT good. Anyway - I would maybe see if you could rearrange your schedule and do both! Sounds like as good as you might be at dance, your real good at cheer too.

First be thankful they want you to help. Next choose what's best for you, choose what's not going to put you in a financial struggle & do what's going to make you happy and won't seem like a JOB. Ive been in that situation and feel your pain girl

Just pray about it

I would presume that the coach knows that you decided to do dance full time so it will not be a big surprise when you re-explain your commitment level to the team and towards your dance. If the coach really needs your help he/she will be thankful for the time you can give and take what they can get, if not, they did not ask you to help with the right intentions.

Thank you all for such great advice!!! Im gonna talk to my dance coaches and see what happens!!! I greatly appreciate it! Nice to see sooo many nice and kind-hearted people here on fierceboard! (:
