CBSsports televised the ICU all girl competition today, which I think may be the first time that's ever happened. I actually enjoyed the commentary (Bill Seely and someone else, with Amanda Borden doing interviews). The showed full routines in the Premier division (level 6) and highlights of top 3 in Elite (level 5). Actually would've liked to have seen the full routine of the top 3 in Elite, but having never seen any of the ICU, I was pleasantly surprised.

I really really wish they would eliminate the "cheer" part of ICU considering no other country in the world has traditional cheerleaders except the US. It's almost self-defeating explaining to someone internationally that you're a competitive cheerleader going to worlds, not an actual cheer-leader, and then they see this

100% agree! I have always been confused with why that part of the routine is required to be in there.

I loved the coverage of All Girl, and Coed Premiere is next sunday! The ICU World Championships is a tremendous event, and so many countries just thrilled to be part of it! I am sure it will grow substantially over the next few years! Go USA!

I feel like the amount of coverage cheer has gotten lately is far greater then it has been before. CBS has been airing NCA competitions a lot more then FSN use to, it seems like they are on every other week/weekend. ICU getting cvoerage is great also.

The first airing of Worlds is next Saturday on ESPNU at 10am!

seriously! they televised it but still havent bothered to put any of the dance videos online!!!
scotland won our first even gold medal at any world cheer/dance event and none of us can see the routine!
