Hello everyone! I'm a young professional who is looking for a gym to call home next year. I live in Maine and will have to relocate.

I'm working on my standing full and making my double full more consistent. I started cheering three years ago, if that's any indication on how fast my progress is moving along.

I definitely want to try to be on a team that goes to worlds, but to be honest I'm kind of ignorant about practice times, expectations, etc. I will likely have an 8-5 job. I also have no idea who has IOC5 teams, besides the greats (cheer extreme, Wildcats, and the like).

Thank you for any info!

I can't help you with teams, but our Worlds teams typically practice 2-3 times/week, about 2 - 2.5 hours at a time. It's all evening/weekend, so if you have a regular day job, you shouldn't find that to be an issue. I've cheered many years with a full time career. Keep in mind that you will need to take time off for competitions if you travel, and that may cut into your vacation time. As well, if you work doesn't approve a certain vacation (maybe cos lots of others have already booked it off), how will you get away to compete? But, I've made it work for years, so check with teams in your area as to their practice times and expectations and go from there
