All-Star Issues Between Two Moms On The Team Affected The Entire Team

Someone explain to me why skinny blonde b**** wasn’t taken out of there in handcuffs. She’s obviously intoxicated, making an booty of herself and committed battery.

I'm sure if brunette mom wanted to press charges she could have and it would have ended very differently.

After seeing their comments on twitter, her trashy behavior is not only expected, but is being passed on too.

I did too until I saw some of her comments regarding the incident on twitter.

Yeah after wading through the kid’s cesspool twitter account, it looks like the whole family is just. The. Worst.

After 9 years of all-stars, my husband has gotten pretty good at knowing what is going on during a routine. I recently sent him to a travel comp without me. I got a minute by minute run-down of my girls' division that included how many kids tapped out of tumbling on every team, how many stunt bobbles and falls there were on every team and he even had a legality question. (It wasn't a legality, but it was a good question.) There were only 5 teams in their division, but he was pretty much dead-on in the placement after both day 1 and day 2.

Yeah after wading through the kid’s cesspool twitter account, it looks like the whole family is just. The. Worst.

The woman who posted the video took it down stating she had received an apology, and the mother who was attacked also tweeted that she holds no ill will. There were extenuating circumstances that she appears to feel are valid. And she very admirably didn’t fight back, and made a statement about all being a cheer family. I think all in all, the incident brings up to really good reminders. A.) we have to really commit to letting the sport and the athlete be the focus of these events... always. And B.) it doesn’t hurt to be mindful of the fact that the people around us may be going through a lot more than we can see.

Then there are the dads that I knew who were like this:

This is my husband He at first would tell our oldest that cheer wasn’t a sport it was just an activity she did and they would go back and forth. 4 years later he is always asking me “is the schedule out yet? Who’s in their division?” Or “Xteam is good our girls better bring it this weekend.” “So I watched the whole division I think this is how placement is right now” etc. he also always ends up when the team is around him basing the girls (etc at the competition) and try’s to play it off with “oh well older CP asked and her friends just lined up” but older CP says “Dad says he is big enough to base even us bases on the team so it gives us a chance to practice flying because dad says we might not always be the tallest (it’s a youth team)”......and younger CP is on a prep team this year and I’ve heard them in another room with my husband doing counts and then saying “younger CP that’s really good you just need more sass and attitude now!” And when I ask what they are doing husband will say nothing and younger CP will shout “We are going over my counts to help me remember where I’m supposed to be in the routine so when I’m on stage I don’t look like a chicken with my head cut off and running around looking lost. Why did you say nothing? You told me you were helping me not look lost.” He even recruited from his work a girl on the prep team her mom told me that my husband is always bragging about the gym and CP’s team at work to her sister and so the sister said if you put my niece in it I’ll pay so that’s why they are there.

But if I say anything it’s always “Yeah I don’t care as long as they are having fun at their activity. I might not go to the next competition it’s always the same teams.”

That’s all well and good, but I’m more talking about the family’s tweets before and after this incident. The entitlement and bratty attitudes are strong with them. Not to mention what appears to be the kid’s permanent drunkenness even though she’s not 21. All with the blessing of her mom, I assume.

But whatever; people can do and say whatever they want on Twitter. It’s the gym’s problem. The issue here is blonde mom’s behaviour and while I understand “extenuating circumstances,” I do not see how any of blonde mom’s actions are justifiable. Unless it was all a big joke that was recorded out of context — which is clearly wasn’t — I don’t get it. Think about it: why would she give the finger to another mom from her team in the middle of their kids’ performance? The only reason I can think of is that the brunette mom’s kid messed up somehow, and the blonde mom was rubbing her child’s failure in her face. That kind of ugly goes straight through “circumstances” and all the way to the core.

There’s a lot of validity to what you say.

There’s also a lesson to be learned for this minor (not that the members of this board should be the teachers), that social media is not your friend. If what has been posted about her Twitter is true (I don’t care enough to ask who she is or go look, she needs a lesson in social media sanitization and needs it in a hurry.

Yes, I agree. I shouldn’t have asked about it in the first place, it was just such a stretch. ( which I still think it is)

That being said the USASF new image policy campaign has quite literally asked us to evaluate the social media of minors, with their triple A and ABC’s of posting. I think that one is a slippery slope.

I’m not coming for you lol I never said you were tearing her down. I said “we” as in the boards were tearing a part her Twitter. I stand by that. We’re all entitled to our opinions and I felt uncomfortable reading that and wanted to voice it. Your welcome to disagree, that’s the point of the boards right? Regardless- the mom in this situation was wrong and I’m happy to hear there’s no I’ll will between her and the other parent.
