I will be honest, I didn't really follow the whole NCATA movement until this week when I got wrapped up in NCA College Nationals. The more I watch the videos and see the format, could this work in AS?
Day One the teams compete their compulsory baskets, stunts, tumbling and then on day 2 compete their routine?
Is this the direction that all college cheer will eventually go? What about the boys? Will they have to have their own "all male" so they are recognized by the NCAA?
Just things I mull over in my head when I only have had 2 hours sleep :-)

I could see high schools going to this LONG LONG LONG before All-Stars. Its meant to be a way for colleges to recognize it as a sport, All-Star doesn't need it but I would like to see high schools start picking it up

If I'm not mistaken NCA nationals included STUNT national chamionships. Not NCATA. They are similar, but have very significant differences. I'll double check.

not in allstar, the timing would not work at all... it is set up for 2 or 3 teams per event, allstars is set up for 30-930 teams per event

We have a girl on a team like this that used to cheer at our gym. I watched it for the first time on Thursday and it is way for about perfection then dificulty or showyness. There really is no "show factor" like there is in all stars.

I would probably hate it if all star went in this direction. I'm not a big fan of STUNT or NCATA because I don't understand the need for it, the format that is not the orgnaizations (not going to really get into that because I explained it in the college section). But for all star it will not be recognized by the NCAA ever so I don't see the reasoning to go into a format like this.
