is it socially acceptable to turn the heat in my apartment on yet? 40 degrees last night and woke up to my apartment at a brisk 58 degrees. can't get out of my covers (not that i was planning on getting out of them today, anyway) brrr.

I'm jealous of that problem. My dorm may in fact be the oldest on campus without air conditioning and I woke up in deep sweat all last week. I'm so ready for fall/winter.

Here in Florida it's slowly getting a little less unbearably hot. Like some nights we can actually be outside and play without totally suffering. Some people here really like the tropical climate but I'm getting a bit sick of it. We are thinking of trying to move somewhere else next school year. Kind of jealous of people having to put the heat on or wear warm clothes! :)

if you want to house swap for a week or two come jan/feb let me know. i'm sure i'll need some sunshine and you can build snowmen!

i've decided that the single thing i hate about the town i currently live in is not the cold or the snow... just lack of sun. the fact that the sun is never out is so depressing. from January to June I could actually count the truly sunny days on my fingers. it's so gloomy and you just never want to leave your bed! i have no idea if all of upstate is like this or i just live in a terrible location lol only 2 and a half years til i can live wherever i want!! in the meantime, if the weather app is right, next week we'll officially be in the 30's at night.

@njallday Yeah at least it's not gloomy and depressing here. But it sucks to almost feel like you're prisoner in your house (with wild kids) because it's too hot to go out.

Sounds like you should definitely move somewhere sunnier when you can!

Come up to the northeast! anywhere from Delaware/Northeast all the way up to Maine. We actually experience all four seasons :p. Besides the occasional insane amount of snow, I LOVE IT. As much as I say I want to live in Florida or California, the heat & I just don't get along.

What part of NJ do you live in? I'm around your area (by about an hour or two, I live near PHL)

If you hate your weather. Dont come live in sweden. I call our weather bipolar. One minute it can be pouring rain and the next like a 100 degress (not literally we have the celcius system so im not familiar with this.) and down in southern Sweden where i live its always windy. like ALWAYS.. We get like a max of 10 days A YEAR without it being windy.

there's hot and cold complaints...and then there's Illinois. I was freezing when I woke up this morning and it was cloudy, put on a sweatshirt, and by noon was hot without a cloud in sight. I swear there's a demonstrative picture for everything about Illinois
