To give some background info, this is my first year with this program and my club is extremely small. I'm talking only two teams this season: small senior 2 and NC mini 1. Originally, we were suppose to have mini 1, junior 2 and senior 3 but this season we had to combine senior and junior teams because our numbers for the senior team were very little (probably only one stunt group worth). This ocurred 2-3 weeks after the season started in september.

Now here's the dilema, for those of us who have payed tuition for the senior team at registration time, we have now get shortened practice hours because of the merged teams. Therefore, the amount of money we payed does not amount to the the hours of gym use we were originally entitled. We were not refunded anything (not quite surprising) and we were told that we would have "extra" practices to make up the time, but obviously it would not only be for those of us who have payed more.

Any advice on what to do, or insight on this? Has this happened to anyone else?

PS. I am in no way trying to be disrespectful of the club nor the program in anyway whatsoever.

If they merged the teams in September and shortened the hours, why did they continue to charge the full amount? And why didn't anyone question them on it? After they said "we'll have extra practices" and those never happened, did anyone bring it up to the owner?
I have seen people pay for uniforms, leave the program and not get refunded so I'm not surprised that this would happen.

When we registered back in June (I'm not sure of others), my family payed in the full installement so we had no idea of the senior team having so little people that we would need to merge. As for questionning, yes I've heard a few parents but all the owners said (and are continuing to say) is the extra practices. And I'm not surprised when athletes leave the club without refunds, but all of us have stayed the entire season...

How much of a practice reduction is it? like a half an hour off each practice?

what's the difference in cost between the original juniors and original seniors?

Half hour less each week. I know it might not seem like a lot, but its adds up eventually after 9 months and I'm just confused about why we would be losing all that extra money :S
