I dont think its any more unsafe than a girl trying a double down. At least he stayed pretty tight. Think about a girl that does a 1.5 and comes down open arms and legs.

Which is also unsafe, and why people went out of their way to create that full/double down vest. How many times have we seen athletes come down on their stomach and walk away in pain. I'm not saying it shouldn't be done (double downs) however I also wouldn't be signing myself up to fly nor base that kind of stunt (the prep with 5 1/2 twists). Nor would I belly flop into a pool. Abdominal trauma is no joke. Its cool and all but...risk vs reward...
