I started cheer last year for pop warner (7th grade) I was on a level 2 team and I did it again this year. This winter I am doing high school cheer and am wondering if I should tryout for allstar cheer for next year. I have my bhs and am working on my tuck.

Yes you should. However, the leveling is different in all star cheer. Just because you do one thing in pop warner and another in high school, you're probably not gong to do that same thing on all star. But you should go for it!

I have to say, I am so happy my daughter switched from gymnastics to Allstar cheering, now... She has learned so many valuable lessons and often display a lot of impressive sportsmanship behavior... If you can do AS cheering, do it!

As long as your parents are able to budget it out, I would go for it! It is such an amazing experience, and you only have a certain amount of years to do it... enjoy it while you can!! :)

I would wait to decide until you see how you like HS cheer. Some HS teams are heavily competitive. Some HS coaches don't allow their athletes to do both school and AS.

If you decide to do AS, there are several levels that may be appropriate for you. You have plenty of time before tryout season, so enjoy your HS team, learn more stunting, and continue to work on your tumbling. The more you develop as an athlete, the better asset you'll be to ANY team

You definitely should! I did pop warner for the Hightstown Rams for years and I actually left pop warner to do all star about 6th grade. Best thing I ever did with my life. Honestly. A BHS is level 2 in all star, and a tuck is level 3 in all star.

I think you should If you already enjoy cheer, All Star is a step up. My daughter has learned so much from it; not only skill wise but life lessons. And it is SO much fun, especially when you climb up in levels and travel a lot.

The answer is always yes IMO :)
