I hate that any press coverage about cheer always focuses on people talking about their injuries. Injuries happen in every sport, and we all know that cheer is the "most dangerous sport". Gah. I won't even start on that...

I would love it if they would focus more on training schedules, video of stunts/tumbling, the program/gym, the commitment of time and money, and the competitive drive of the athletes.

I'm just glad they chose a well known, respected program/well known competition rather than a lesser known gym trying to get grand champs at Jamfest nationals.

Note: that is not to say that they shouldn't have done a lesser known gym, as long as they follow them on the road to success to a win at a bigger competition.

Loved it. That's the kind of positive direction publicity needs to take. I think I'm probably one of many that kept looking in the background at warm ups for our teams too :)

we all talk about how we wish cheer would be shown in a good light and all get on the discussion of WHICH team we would like to see represented on TV and it always seems like ACE always has little snippets of the limelight whether it be on the disney channel or cnn and I can honestly say I always want more and I officially choose ACE to be the tv spokesteam for cheerleading :)
