Do you know how many teams attend the JAMfest Europe events?

I'm unsure of actual numbers, but many of the British worlds and other level 5 teams attend which pulls in many other teams. I didn't go last year so I don't know what the setup was, but the year before (the competitions first year) all of the dance, partner stunts and cheer routines were all on one day in one venue. This year is a 2 day competition (dance saturday, cheer sunday) which isn't bad when you consider this year will only be it's third year. It has grown substantially.

We know what we are competing for - a fully paid trip to London to perform at the European Championships. Most of those teams have multiple other chances to get Worlds "paid" bids at other events. I'm not sure what the confusion is.

Regardless, money-wise, getting a paid trip to London is much more valuable than getting a partially paid trip to Orlando. ("Paid" bids don't usually cover all of the expenses for Worlds anyway.)

The competition is in Liverpool...but I guess you can go to London while you're here :) The UK has lots of pretty places to visit.

If a team member who hasn't been told about The Majors sees this (now that it has been announced,) I would think it might actually start some rumors of its own (Are we Large? Are we Medium? Are we not trying to get a bid? Are we trying to get a bid?)
So, by NOT telling a team about it, it could start rumors, and by telling a team about it, it could start rumors. Ummm...

Damage control is a little easier with 30-36 kids and their parents, vs the whole cheer community.

I think it's probably safe to assume that WCSS declined an invitation. They're not strangers to Jamfest so I don't see any reason why an invitation wouldn't have been extended. But, I am assuming. I wish someone could comment on this because everyone seems all up in arms about it.

SS where not attending indy this year. Their competition schedule was already set when the invite came in. Adding this to the schedule would of increased cost and more missed school days.

I'm sure JamFest would love to have SS. That said, I certainly can understand the time committments with these teams. I have not convinced myself that it is necessarily a good thing to do politically either.

Large has always been 21-36 kids until this year. It's not a big deal to have 30 compete against 36 in my opinion.
Yes, at one event they are giving up a bid opportunity. They will have others.
Relax. It'll be fun if it becomes Jamfest "Worlds" or not:D
