Can someone please give me an overview of tryouts? What questions should I ask? What should I bring? Things like that. Thank you and I would really appreciate it.

p.s. This is allstar cheerleading tryouts for a half year team!

I think instead of starting new threads for every question it would be beneficial to just ask all your questions under one thread. just for next time :) this way the board isn't getting overcrowded with threads.

but about your question, every gym does tryouts differently. Do you have any friends at the gym? they would be the best to ask. good luck :)

Good advise by Cheeramswers. On addition I would contact the gym you are trying out at for their tryout packet. A log of gyms will have a list of items you need to bring and and what to expect. Good luck.

What they said...
In addition, there usually isn't much that you will need to take to tryouts except a good attitude and a willingness to work hard. As far as actual things, just dress neatly and comfortably and bring a water bottle. Make sure you have any forms you need filled out and ready to hand in when you get there, if possible. Lots of gyms will give these to you to fill out before hand, or you can download and print them from the gym's website. Good luck, and most of all, have fun!!! Let us know how it goes!

Check their website and see if they have a handbook for the year. Our club lists practice times, competitions, costs, clinics, club expectations and policies in ours. It should answer most of your questions about the club and their teams. As for the coaches, you can ask what they're looking for/what they need on each team.

Bring your cheer shoes and a water bottle and be prepared to work. Show them everything you have as you never know what coaches need for their team. Good luck!!
