With the "supposedly" huge snow and ice storm headed to Atlanta this week, I was just curious if anyone has ever had to miss a competition due to bad weather?

Lucky for all of us, Atlanta weather is supposed to be fine starting on Thursday with temperatures above freezing and rising Thursday - Sunday!

Everyone talks about how nice the weather is in Atlanta, and then whenever Cheersport rolls around, it's awful. :(

One time at my old gym, the weather was terrible and our senior 4 only had one full stunt group that was able to get there for their comp time

Last year Spirit Fest Nationals (a bid comp) had to be rescheduled for about 6 weeks later due to a massive snowstorm in New England. They made the call like two days before the competition after a bunch of teams had to cancel!

I remember a massive snowstorm in New England during the weekend of Cheersport in 2007 or 2008. Hundreds of flights were cancelled for days and the northern teams were chartering buses to drive to ATL. Tons of Celebrity/USA Wildcats/East Elite kids were getting there right before their warm up times.

Atlanta got snow one year while we were at NCA in Dallas. All the flights home to Atlanta got cancelled. People either had to wait two to three days to fly but most people were renting cars and just driving back.
