to your first competition? did you ever not wear an"official uniform" do you ever see teams compete in blinged out sport bras and shorts with bows?? anything ever like that?

also... what company for coed is the best and not going to kill the pocket for uniforms

Well at my first competition 6 years ago we wore blue short sleeved leotards with a skirt over the top; it looked like we were going to a ballet show. Oh how times have changed!

My previous gyms mini and youth teams wore sports bras and Soffe shorts at a competition; it looked quite cute. Definitely much cheaper. On junior and senior teams I definitely prefer to see uniforms though.

yea my team is an open level 5 :)
I know some gyms with their international open 5 and 6 teams compete in sports bras and practice shorts until they get a bid, but usually most teams are wearing uniforms when actually competing.

The first ever competition my gym competed at we wore spankies and a gym t-shirt - our uniforms were still in the process of getting made. No one thought it was unusual at all haha.

honestly i was thinkin of doing this!

I've seen this done before and I don't really care for it. A sports bra and spanks do not present the image of a professional competition I would want to portray. It just looks like you're going to practice

I remember one year when I was a freshman in high school the middle school team from my area had to wear shorts and t-shirts (their practice clothes) to a competition because all their uniforms weren't in yet. That would be the only reason I would send a team out to compete in anything other than a uniform. To me wearing sports bras and shorts just doesn't look "official" (if that makes any sense) and if I was the athlete I wouldn't feel like I was actually competing.

well they would be sublimation with fancy bows and im still not sure just wanted to get all opinions:) xoxox

My cps competed one year in tanks and soffe shorts at the first comp when the new uniforms had not come in yet. I think you have to be careful about competing in sports bras and spanks; we saw a senior team do this a few years ago and because of their age, the colors they were wearing and the length of the spanks (barely booty shorts) they really looked like strippers rather than cheerleaders. Our gym's half year teams compete in blinged-out tanks and spanks.

trying to find the perfect outfit for this inbetween time UGH any suggestions???
