So I do Pop Warner cheer. this is my second year and second year of cheer in my life and I really wanna do all-star at this one gym lets call GYM A. (I should also add that I have level three tumbling skills, a few level 4 skills, and this is my first year flying, at level 3.) There is this other gym we will call GYM B which alot of people who have gone to this gym have moved to gym A to be on better teams. Also, people from my pop Warner cheer team tumble at gym B and did half season last season at gym B. I really wanna try half season to see what it is like at gym B because it is close to my house. The thing I'm scared about is not knowing anybody and my hearing aids since we have to wear a tight bun and a bow for practice if I were to do the half season and you can see them when my hair is up. Also the thing is if I don't know anybody I am scared since I have hearing aids nobody is gonna come talk to me. Tryouts are soon and I need to decide if I should do it but I don't know. My parents said its up to me now because they said yes if I really want to do it. I think I do really wanna do it because it will help me get a feel of all-star before maybe going to gym A (my dream) afterwards for a whole season. But like I said I'm scared about some things. WHat should I do?

Face your fear and go have fun! I'm ancient, and I still don't like being in situations where I don't know anyone, but I'll tell you my go to in this situation. Look for the person off to themself (in your situation, let's say warming up), sit near them, smile, and say "hi." Nine times out of ten, they're in the same situation and are very grateful to have someone come up to them.
