I have a situation and I need some advice.

Our gym ordered new uniforms from a well known company ( who shall remain nameless). We've ordered with them before but this season however has been a NIGHTMARE. I will bullet point:

-August 21st: Design is selected, very happy, girls are sized, order is placed. Arrival, 6 weeks maximum. Plenty of time before our first comp.
- September 16th: we are told there will be another 3 week delay on our youth sizes. Ok.
- October 10th: our adult szies arrive ( a week late), but wait- they were sent to the wrong address, we have to wait another week and a half for them to be reshipped to the right address.
- October 14th: Shorts arrive: They are wrong. They were suposed to be a reorder of what we already had ordered and they werent.
-October 20th: Adult tops arrive: COMPLETELY WRONG. Wrong design, wrong fabric. Awesome. We cancel the youth sizes because they too will be wrong. We pull 2 of our teams from competition and try to outfit one of the teams with what we have because we are missing the youth sizes. Not great, but we work it out. Ok fine.We reorder, because we now have wrong everything, top and shorts. Perfect.

November 1st: New order is selected, and design is approved. We are told 3 weeks.
November 22nd: I check the status to see how we are coming along. Only 37 of the 48 tops are showing up on the confirmation, no shorts and they are due to arrive 2 weeks later then we are quoted. If everything is perfectly on time, they will arrive just 2 days before our next competition.

I am FREAKING out and my rep is on VACATION!

Here is my question. I am pissed. I really dont feel that after all this hassel that getting the uniforms we ordered is good enough. I dont want to raise H"!£ and be "that gym" either.
What would you do?

Sounds like our issues. Late arrival, got them 12 hours before we took the floor and half of them (an that's generous) are wrong. Missing bling, reversed colors on the uniforms and way weird sizes....look like half tops and they aren't.

Now they're reordering the correct sizes and fixing the issues....but we have competition next weekend.....

Perhaps well be fixed by Cheersport.

Maybe.

We weren't GK either.

I was very pleased with Spirit Innovations but I believe they were bought by guess who? NOT GK either.

I would raise HELL! You did everything right. When a rep is on vacation, there is always someone who should be available in their absence.

Call the 800 number, if the rep is on vacation ask for the DM or Regional Manager, if not , keep calling till you finally get transferred to someone that plans on giving you a real answer. Them overnighting them to you is not a way to fix the problem, You should receive some type of compensation for the problem. Goodluck!

We switched companies because of issues like this. Our owner worked with "not GK" from January to July to get the design right-and then was told they couldn't center the logo. We were looking at prototypes and being told basically "So sorry, can't change how it's centered". Went with Rebel Athletics and you can check out the 2012-2013 uniform thread. Customer service was AMAZING. At this point though, I agree-get with a regional manager or someone higher up. I really dont get why this is rocket sicence, but for some companies, it is.

the" not GK" rep is a coach from another all star program( which complicates things). She is lovely, and I dont want to be difficult, but this is a mess. I just cant help but feel that getting the uniforms we ordered after 4 months of waiting and frustration is fair. And they want us to send back the uniforms that are wrong, even after they have been worn!
Would you just accept the correct uniforms and have done with it? I know what I want to do, but I am not sure if I am being over the top. Anyone who has bene through this care to share what a reasonable expectation is?

What is a reasonable expectation if you were ordering something that wasn't for cheer. I would have raised h*#% by now. It is unacceptable that these companies get away with this. JMHO

They want us to send back the wrong pieces too. There are so many though, and the next competition is in about 10 days were able to keep the wrong ones until the new ones come...then we have to send them back.

I wouldn't say that wanting what you ordered and paid for in an acceptable time frame is over the top. They are not a small company. There's no excuse for the horrible service they're giving you. The families in your gym have put out a substancial amount of money for this product and now they're not even getting to wear them for every competition? I'm sure that you have aggrivated parents that you're dealing with now because of this, and it's something out of your control at this point. You deserve to stomp your feet and yell and not give them your business in the future.

The gym I coach at had issues with this company this year also... We ordered from SI last year but they were bought out, so our gym owner felt it was best to go with this company to keep the re-ordered uniforms looking the same as the uniforms the girls ordered last year. The logo on our uniform is a rhinstoned "I"... that's the whole logo. And they messed it up. They couldn't get the sizing right. Our uniforms were supposed to be in a few weeks before the first competition... Then the week of our first competition. Wednesday at 2pm was our promised delivery time for the revised tops... Skirts were supposed to come in on Thursday, Once they didn't arrive, gym owner called and called and called to find out what was going on and couldn't get ahold of the rep. Everything showed up late on Friday and we competed on Saturday. Half of my mini kids' skirts were literally falling off of them when they tried to walk around with them on. One girl put on her skirt and held the excess out to the side and it was 3 inches too big for her. We were re-pinning the skirts between warm up stations and backstage before we took the floor.

With such a huge company that has been doing this for SO LONG, how have they not figured out how to get it right? And why do people still order through them? I cringed when I found out we were ordering through them this year... Hopefully we can find someone else to replicate our design next year.

at this point I am worried raising hell wont do anything. The fact that they want the used uniforms back is frustrating enough. Like, WHY?! You cant really use them for anything. Its just such a waste. And there is no sense of closure.

My son cheered many years ago and his uniform was ordered separately and for the first competition he had to wear my daughters warm up pants and a black under armour shirt. They were Tinys and he was 5 but when I finally did get it the pants were too long and the shirt was wrong and did not watch the other boy on the team. the gym owner got upset when I refused to pay for it. I emailed the rep from "Not GK" many times and she did not return one email.
