We have just had to most horrible experience with my daughters gym (due to location she has no other options). l had heard complaints prior to joining, but nothing close to what we went through. Who can you report this behavior to? This includes 1) ignoring a doctors letter and refusing to allow the child medication 2) stating he knows she does not have such condition 3) the awful bullying that took place after we left (and we do have audio tape) done in front of all cheer teams in the program 4) flat out slander in front of teammates and in personal email sent to another parent (stating that " child was never vilified only held responsible for her actions -- a quitter is a quitter and a wimp is a wimp reguardless of age. 5) Violating a HIPPA Law and announcing a child's health condition to the entire gym (not that it was private)
Other parents are horrified at what their children were subjected to after we left. One team member has since been thrown off because her parents stated publically they did not approve of what happened. The audio of his rant is about to go public.
I am not interested in sueing. These people have nothing and by the time it got to court I would no longer be interested or want to see them. I do think that they need to be held accountable for their inappropriate actions. They feel they have done nothing wrong stating that they can run their business like they want.
I pride myself on not worrying about what others think. Their argument with me was she was a being overdramatic. That I can handle (she is a drama queen)!! But the continual statements that she is a wimp and a quitter are rather hurtful!! She is 14 and has been cheering for 10 years. Since she was 5, her dream was to one day become a coach. She is not a problem child in practice or classes (never in trouble by teachers). She pays attentions, doesn't disrespect the coaches, and does what she is told. This is her second year there and this is the first, and only, time to have been continually yelled at in class (telling her to knock it off, she's a drama queen) for the same thing.
Please lead me in the right direction!!
