We just competed in an NCA comp where 5 wild card bids are awarded. Can someone explain how they are awarded/what qualifies you for a wild card bid? Our team won 1st place, level 1 junior. Are these bids awarded based only on that particular competition results? Thanks!
A team I follow on socials posted that their gym got Summit bids last weekend. Varsity did not list them during the reveal and they are from a non-varsity brand event. When I questioned it they responded that the IEP had a few Summit bids to hand out. Is this something that happens? I have...
My team recently recieved a partial paid bid to the d2 summit, and i can not for the life of of me find out what it covers. Does anyone know what is included with this bid?
We have an upcoming competition that is offering
3 paid bids
6 at-large bids
All of the teams attending with the exception of 4 have AL or PD bids. Does this mean that 4 teams will receive at minimum an AL bid regardless of their level? 2 of the teams are in the same division. In...
Can someone please explain to me how a Level 1 team who got last place out of 12 Level 1 teams would have ended up with a Wildcard summit bid? This team earned an 87 and came in last place across all Level 1 teams.
Is it really possible that every other level 1 team already had a bid? Or that...
at nca atlanta classic there are 5 wildcard bids being given out. level 1,2,3,4,4.2/5/6. there were only 2 level 1 bid eligible teams but they both already have bids. does the bid for level 1 get thrown out or go to another level?
Anyone know if you can earn and use both? We just competed at a one day showdown event and our team won first and we can see on the Varsity site that we earned an at-large bid to the regional Summit. But we also could be earning a wild card bid to Summit. Is the regional bid independent of...

ACTION REQUIRED | Programs with 2+ teams vying for a Worlds Bid
Just my opinion, they don't need to allow exceptions. If you win a paid world bid and switch world teams you should be tied to the second team. I don't care for the new exceptions.
Curious about this. New this year, they will pass AL bids down to the 2nd place team if the division champ has a bid already. There are 10 pd bids. 6 to the top score of each level. The remaining 4 go to the top 4 bid eligible teams across different levels.
If the top 2 teams in one level have...
It’s that time of year when I see kids on social media gathered around their screens getting their Summit bids and I need an explainer. I have no experience with lower level teams. Thank you!
Comp has 5 AL and 1 PD. So in theory each level should get an AL (1,2,3,4&5). Highest score of the comp gets the PD. Does the 2nd highest in the level that won the PD get the AL or is that one really up for grabs? Does that make sense?
Question? Rule of bringing % of gym to get world bid....does this include your “ sister” gym or just your own location? We know of team who listed another gyms location as theirs just to get bid....Couldn’t prove it then but can now for the future....
So far, it's been pretty clear cut how bids are supposed to be awarded. 5 at large bids will go to 1 from each level (supposed to). Makes it pretty easy to figure out. How does it work at comps with only 4 at large bids? Top 4 winning/eligible teams no matter level?
I may be wrong but....If at large bids are not passed down, why would teams accept them if we know they only/always go on paid? Some team would really want and use it.
Hello!
I have searched and cannot seem to find if coaches are included in paid summit bids. I think for worlds they include 2, but for D2/Summit I do not see anything.
Can someone let me know :) Please and thanks!!

I know that the way bids are awarded has been changed this year.
Summit_Bid_Declaration_18_19.pdf
But the language they use is still is not perfectly clear (to me).
"WILDCARD bids will go to the highest scoring bid eligible teams across different levels." If 3 wild card bids are given...
