the only negative thing about this competition is the room situation. The hotels right in AC are horribly expensive unless it's a dump. You have other hotels right outside AC but some of those can be sketchy and if they aren't they are full already. I just don't understand why the casinos charge so much. If they give me a decent rate I will stay there AND gamble. ;)

This is exactly what I was thinking. Most of what I see left look like dumps and I've never heard of them. I don't want to come back with bed bugs or worse :eek:

I've been trying to research and find the areas that are close enough that have decent hotels priced reasonably. I guess that's is like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow

Bally's on my reservation is 119 for Fri, 289 for Saturday and 69 for Sunday. I did believe you can stay one or all of them. I switched to the holiday inn express which averages 119/night. I am probably only staying the Saturday but have a reservation for all 3. This is why I want the schedule, or at least a block schedule time confirm what I will be doing.

Unfortunately $289 is out of my budget. I wish I could have gotten the Holiday Inn Express or any reasonably priced hotel. I was only looking at only staying Saturday night (pending the schedule). Hopefully people will start to let go of the rooms they're holding and I can slip in

I originally made the Bally reservation in June but when I lost my job and realized we had Providence 2 weeks later, I looked flexible a less expensive alternative. I Also currently have 2 hotels booked for Providence. If I can find someone to share the knew in town and walking distance I will keep that one.( Or if I get a new job). Otherwise it's 11 minutes out of the city.

The hotels this year are more expensive than last year. I am now staying just outside in absecon,on white horse Pike. It was recommended by someone from someone who lives in the area. I hope it's OK.

We've stayed over there before. The chains are fine.

I'm sure it will be, but when I saw an option for a room with an option for a Jacuzzi for two, I became concerned [emoji12] [emoji13]

I'm not sure of current rates, but when I've had competitions down the shore my family stays in Ocean City. The rates usually weren't jacked up because there wasn't anything really going on there. Ocean City is about 30 minutes from AC.

There is 2 rooms available at the comfort inn w Atlantic City on pike horse where our team is. We just cancelled a couple. I think the rate is 159 a night

We had a room block. We rented a condo next weekend but have stayed there before and it is nice. Call the hotel directly.
