awwwwwwwwwwwwwww i want more wtf not coolteeny tiny 10 second (if that) snippet of SE's routine... but at least its something! is it October yet gah!
We're you guys visiting from out of town? If so I think I was sitting right next to you.I was lucky enough to watch a SE and Coed Elite practice a few weeks ago and they both looked awesome!! So thankful to the coaches and athletes for welcoming me into the gym!
I agree.. ACL, ankles, meniscus. Tibia. I mean all of those fills were halves and doubles were 1&1/12.. Do the coaches not realize that nothing they did is level 5 because the rotations did not complete, not to mention the overall technique is just terrible.every single one of those passes is ASKING for a torn ACL.....
My kids have been at three gyms over the course of 8 years and that's the only way I've ever seen it done. Mine are both back spots and the T gives them a place to catch securely under their arms, it also stops their rotation so they aren't still spinning when they're caught.can someone explain to me why CEA has their flyers cradle in a T motion instead of having the flyers catch their bases to hold their weight ??? visually I like the T and had my kids doing it but then I started to wonder, what is the purpose of that ?
I agree with that, when ever I flew and back spotted, I always either had my arms out in a T or was catching the flyer in a T motion....much easier and "secure" feeling to both the flyer and bases/back spot. IMO...wonder what other gym does this? @BlueCat @kingMy kids have been at three gyms over the course of 8 years and that's the only way I've ever seen it done. I've seen gyms where the flyer keeps her arms in with hands on her thighs through to the cradle. But last season I also saw the flyer go straight through the bases arms that here standing too far apart.
This freaks me out. I've also seen where the back spot turns and is beside either the main base or the side base and catches the side of the neck/head/back. That scares me, I feel like the flyer is going to roll out on the side the back isn't on.I've seen gyms where the flyer keeps her arms in with hands on her thighs through to the cradle. My god daughter (crazy talented kid) actually switched gyms because the one she was at started teaching it that way and it freaked her out. She'd never done anything but the T and felt completely unsafe. She switched to a T gym and that was her primary reason for the move.

That's exactly how the back spot catches in this scenario. In theory they're supposed to catch on the side the flyer is rolling into so they roll into the back spot, but I'm not a fan. This freaks me out.
