I've always wonder why they don't search bags at WWOS. I get my bagged check at any other sporting even I go to.
They check bags when you enter any other park at disney, not WWOS however

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to disagree with this one a little bit. Do I think the VIP seating was too large, yes. Do I think the VIP section is for those that shelled out the 25k per team (paid bids) that are there to support their clients, absolutely. There should be a happy medium I agree but I'm not gonna take anything away from the EP's that helped pay the way (or help pay the way) for teams to compete. JMO.

The size of the VIP seating was greatly reduced when we got there on Sunday morning, then more chairs were brought out later for Large Coed? The back row of chairs in VIP backed up directly against the parent section and as much as I knew those chairs in the center back row of VIP were probably the best seats in the building, i couldn't bring myself to sit there knowing I'd be blocking someone's view with my back. It would be nice if they could raise the VIP seating up on some staging and then put the parent standing section in front of that. Most of the people in VIP really do want to watch the competition, and like you said, they've shelled out tens of thousands of dollars to send other peoples' kids to Worlds. Putting the parents in chairs in front of other chairs on the floor would be hard because I'm sure it's hard for those parents to stay seated while watching their children compete at Worlds.
Most of the people in VIP were coaches, EPs made up the second biggest part. As far as I could tell, that section was not empty at all at the times the rest of the milkhouse was packed... Other times, yes... but there were lots of other chairs open around the venue. I witnessed many of the EPs cheering on teams, standing up to clap after performances, not wasting that space. I'm sure most people that were in there have made careers in the cheer industry because they love the sport, too.
I lovingly refer to these as "shotgun heel stretches"I really wish I didn't see flyers on level 5 teams with bow and arrows that are basically low heel stretches with their bodies hunched all the way over to reach their foot. Please don't wonder why you didn't score as high as a team that did the same skills and stunts but with the right technique. Drives me nuts!
Fair enoughI wasnt saying you personally, Im saying in general if it affects your life.. Also I never said you couldnt have an opinion you made very good points. Im just saying in my opinion I dont think its a big deal.
I have no problem with EP's having a place to sit and watch their "investment's" perform. I get that. Totally. But last year VIP wasn't full (well the times I was there anyway and that was during LG, SM and Lg Coed divisions) and this year it was expanded and it was never anywhere close to full. I'm fully on board with coaches having somewhere to sit too. Don't misunderstand.........BUT....expanding the VIP area pushed the Parent Viewing area even further back. As to your last sentence who do you think is responsible for paying the way for all these kids to get to their bid competition? Comp Fee, plane ticket, hotel, food??? Who are the people who make up the shortfall for what the bid doesn't pay? (And that includes paid/partial and unpaids......let's be for real....full paid bid doesn't mean you owe nothing) That would be US! Last year parent's who couldn't get there at the butt crack of dawn were told they didn't care whether we got in to see our children or not. That was changed to we will escort each group in to see your team and back out again. This year it was said that anyone that couldn't get into the milkhouse would again be escorted in to watch their team and back out again. I'm sorry if I'm not feeling the love from USASF here. (And ONLY for my baby girl would I continue to be subjected to this treatment year after year after year after year. LMAO Crazy is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.....I'm honestly starting to think I"M CRAZY)
Sidenote..I hated to type all this because I ususally agree with you about 98% of the time. I think it's just different perspectives you as a coach and insider and me as a parent and outsider. LOL
I like the song, I'm a pretty big Fall Out Boy fan, but I do not like it in cheer music. The chorus is too slow for the fast paced beat and it does not speed up well. And I have heard it A LOT. Not just at Worlds, but at the ICU Worlds and NCA Collegiate Nationals too.
Where was that?
IOC5. Top Gun IOC5 had what I believe to be one of the ten highest scores of the whole competition, but didn't make finals because of their gym's address. Teams should be judged by the content of their talent, routines, and performances, not by GPS coordinates.
1. Paper dolls will live on forever as long as the score sheet rewards it. It does and any team NOT doing them is missing easy points.1. Paper dolls, especially with libs, need to disappear. Too many teams do them, and it looks lazy. Stop that nonsense.

I looked up the bolded section and apparently swimming and track do. Only the top two per country can compete in swimming finals and top three for track.Quick question: Does any other sport (besides gymnastics) do top 3 per country for the Olympic finals? Should we add a 'wildcard' element, where it's top 3 per country, and then next top 5 scores REGARDLESS of location after that? That way you're not adding a TON of extra teams, but those who do exceptionally well aren't excluded?
