I have been lurking here for couple years. I have learned so much and I am so thankful for all the information. I have a 10 year old on an R5 team at a major gym and I am terrified and looking for some support! Why am I so nervous to start posting?! Tough crowd I guess. Taking the plunge!

Welcome! It can be a tough crowd, you're right. Some helpful tips:
Follow the rules posted above, especially the ones about what NOT to post about (cheerlebrities, who's your favorite ________), etc).
You will make posting mistakes. You will be corrected. Take the correction and learn from it. A simple, "sorry, I goofed. Thanks for the head's up" will take you far.
Conversations will get derailed, just like in real life. Don't be offended. Some of the most entertaining ones are the posts that end having nothing to do with the original post :)
Once your newbie probation has ended, check out the parent board. It tends to be a kinder, gentler nation there:D

On an unrelated topic (see what I did there) your screen name makes me think of the Subway commercials. Ha!

I have been viewing Fierce Board for a few years now and have learned a lot, I always know if there are rule changes I can find them here. But I decided to would jump in today and start posting so I can join in the conversations rather than just lurking on the outside.
